Schuyler Roche thanks Richard T. Zwirner for his 39 years of devoted service to the Firm and its predecessors. Dick Zwirner withdrew as a shareholder in 2007 in order to concentrate upon various charitable activities and his responsibilities as General Counsel of Hollister Incorporated, a manufacturer and distributor of healthcare products worldwide headquartered in Libertyville, Illinois.

Dick joined the Firm, then known as Hubachek, Kelly, Rauch & Kirby, following his graduation from the Northwestern University School of Law in 1968. During his initial years at Hubachek, Dick earned the trust and confidence of the late John Dickinson Schneider, the founder of Hollister. For approximately one year in the early 1970s, Dick worked in-house for Hollister. He then returned to Hubachek & Kelly Ltd. and he became a Partner in the Firm. Dick's professional activities were devoted to the representation of corporate clients on a wide-range of legal issues relating to all aspects of their businesses.

Dick was a Firm leader throughout his professional career. He was instrumental in bringing about two significant transactions that contributed to the expansion and growth of the Firm. In 1983, Dick engineered the merger of Hubachek & Kelly with Schuyler, Ballard & Cowen, a law firm headed by the late Daniel M. Schuyler, who had been one of Dick's professors at the Northwestern University School of Law. At that time, the name of the Firm was changed to Schuyler, Roche & Zwirner, P.C. In 1989, Dick spearheaded the merger of the law firm of Walsh, Case & Brown into Schuyler, Roche & Zwirner, P.C.

In light of Dick's withdrawal from the Firm, the Firm has shortened its name to "Schuyler Roche, P.C." The Firm will use Schuyler Roche|Law as a trade name and service mark.

Dick Zwirner's professionalism, knowledge of the law, judgment and business savvy have been respected and admired by the Schuyler Roche attorneys and clients who have had the privilege of working with Dick over the years. Schuyler Roche thanks Dick for the extraordinary contributions that he has made to the Firm. We look forward to maintaining our ongoing relationship with Dick in his role as Hollister's General Counsel.
