SRZ is pleased to announce the recent appointment of David Addis to the Illinois Secretary of State Business Corporation Acts Advisory Committee. Comprised of attorneys, law professors, state legislators and staff members from the Secretary of State’s office, this committee meets monthly to serve the Secretary of State in an advisory capacity by evaluating existing and pending legislation and by proposing new legislation affecting corporations, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, not-for-profit organizations and other business entities. Attorneys on this committee hail from many of the state’s largest and most respected law firms, and its academic membership represents Illinois’s most prestigious law schools.
“By serving on this committee,” says David, “I look forward to the opportunity to participate in the legislative process and to assist in the evolution of our corporate statutes.”
