Robert Snow enjoys the challenge of complex litigation and derives satisfaction from working closely with clients to achieve their business and litigation objectives. He is knowledgeable about alternative dispute resolution and seeks to employ it, when appropriate, to achieve his clients' goals. He is highly organized and efficient in managing his time, striving always to drive down the cost of litigation to the benefit of each client.

Robb has served in the legal profession for more than twenty years, starting as a legal assistant before becoming an attorney. Prior to joining Schuyler Roche he worked for a large, national law firm with a complex litigation practice for a global clientele.

During the summer of 2001, Robb served the Legal Aid Bureau as a Public Interest Law Initiative Fellow, assisting low-income couples and individuals in obtaining divorce decrees, resolving custody disputes and negotiating settlement agreements.

Concentrating in large, complex litigation, Robb assists major corporations and global entities. He has developed a substantive working knowledge of electronic discovery, particularly the unique issues involving e-mail, computerized data and computer forensics. His strong advocacy and superb organizational skills have contributed to his effectiveness when:

  • managing the defense of a $350 million dispute in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado; Robb's responsibilities included defense preparation for one of the two defendants, preparing direct and cross-examination outlines, drafting motions to exclude expert testimony, drafting motions in limine, and meeting with and preparing witnesses, including expert witnesses, for trial testimony
  • assisting in prosecuting a $70 million breach of contract dispute in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Alabama regarding the construction of a steel mill; responsibilities included coordinating the gathering, review and production of several hundred thousand e-mail, participating in evidentiary hearings concerning electronic discovery issues, taking depositions and assisting in trial preparation, and preparing objections to the defendant's privilege logs, which resulted in the production of more than 25,000 pages
  • managing the defense of a purported nationwide class action concerning claims of discrimination in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey against a major American manufacturer of automobiles; Robb drafted several documents, including a motion to dismiss, interrogatories, document requests and a protective order
  • participating in TRO proceedings and a settlement conference in a breach of contract case heard in the Northern District of Ohio, Eastern Division; Robb drafted the response to the TRO and discovery pleadings, prepared witness outlines and assembled exhibits for the TRO hearing.

Robb successfully assisted in defending a global oil corporation and its U.S. division in a suit alleging discrimination and conspiracy under a Virginia business statute. His involvement included assembling and reviewing the trial exhibits; preparing objections to the plaintiff's trial exhibits and deposition designations; supervising and coordinating the gathering, review and production of several hundred thousand documents and e-mail; and participating in drafting motions for summary judgment, on which, ultimately, the court resolved this matter in favor of the firm's client.

In addition, Robb successfully drafted pleadings that persuaded the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia to compel arbitration of a client's $30 million breach of contract claim.
