Michael Lee, who joined our firm in 1997, just a few years out of law school, is one of the hardest working and most efficient litigators in our firm. Partners actually lobby each other for a share of his time. His intellect and organizational skills contribute to his tremendous output, and his personable nature and positive outlook benefit clients in and out of court, where he is aggressive and perspicacious. He came to Schuyler Roche when Robert Trizna elected to join our firm, insisting that Mike, then employed by Robert, was an outstanding young attorney who would be a tremendous asset to the firm. We actively sought Mike and soon concurred with Roberts assessment.
Mike very quickly proved himself capable of handling litigation issues as diverse as secured transactions, commercial matters, personal injury suits, bankruptcy claims, probate and mortgage foreclosures. Today, a superb performer under pressure and against time constraints, Mike concentrates on a variety of matters, many of which are highly complex, regarding securities and commodities, business and commerce, labor disputes and arbitrations.
The opportunity to help others and the multifaceted nature of law attracted Mike to study it. Although he had earned a B.S. in anatomy, in the course of his law careerintrigued by the concerns and problems of industryMike discovered an interest in and an aptitude for business. Indeed, his clients praise him for his sense of service, his eagerness to preserve their interests and his ability to translate arcane law into cause and effect.
Mike, who has served as a board member of the Korean American Bar Association, is active in the Korean American community in a variety of organizations. In 1994 he co-founded and continues to serve as president of the Korean American Golf Association, and over the years he has coached volleyball and basketball for various leagues and churches within his ethnic community. Mike is a dedicated family man with four young children. He and his wife, committed to preserving their heritage and to observing their ethnic customs, are also active in the greater North Suburban community.

Primarily serving corporations and other business entities, Mike concentrates in the following areas of litigation:
- securities and commodities
- commercial and employment matters
- labor-related issues and arbitrations
- real estate foreclosures
- bankruptcy.

As a young attorney, Mike counts his achievements in the daily successes resulting from dedication and diligence. In collaborating with Schuyler Roche partners and in serving our clients, he has:
- represented securities firms in obtaining temporary restraining orders against former employees who violated non-solicitation and confidentiality covenants contained in their employment contracts
- represented lending institutions in foreclosing mortgages
- advised creditors when accounts they service filed for bankruptcy protection
- represented clients in many commercial cases.
